Historical Significance of The 10 Paise Coin
A unique paperweight featuring a replica of a 1965 ten-paise coin design, a symbol deeply rooted in India's rich history and numismatic heritage.
The decade of the 1960s was a transformative period for India's coinage. As the nation transitioned from the traditional anna system, new coin denominations emerged, signalling a time of change and progress. This ten-paise coin stands as a testament to that significant shift.
Furthermore, the year 1965 itself holds a profound meaning for our nation. It was a time when India showcased its resilience during the second Indo-Pak war, a year that will forever be etched in our collective memory.
It's also noteworthy to mention the economic evolution of the 1960s, as evident in the coins of that era. The soaring prices of silver prompted a change in the metal composition of our coins, with the 1965 ten-paise coin being a poignant representation of this transition.
This paperweight is not just a piece of adornment but a token of history, a reflection of a nation's journey. May it remind you of India's enduring spirit and its ever-evolving narrative.
About The Range
NUMISMATIQUE, a play on the word numismatics, is a range inspired by Anand Prakash's hobby of collecting British-India silver coins. In the past, he has spent considerable time searching for old Indian coins across cities, villages, nooks, corners of bazaars and village markets. Our team meticulously traced old coins to create this range of limited-edition notebooks, paperweights, cufflinks, bookmarks, journals and notepads. (Numismatics means the study or collection of coins.)
Indian history is replete with dynasties and empires, each leaving its mark through unique coins. It is akin to gifting a fragment of India's past, enabling you to touch and feel a piece of history.
Indian coins often carry imprints of its diverse culture, from mythological figures to symbols of its rich heritage. Such gifts serve as a gateway to India's vast cultural expanse.
In the Indian tradition, coins, especially those made of precious metals, are seen as symbols of prosperity and luck. Gifting them is often considered a blessing.
The intricate designs on many Indian coins are a testament to the country's artistic prowess. They stand as miniature masterpieces of art.
These are not just objects; they are stories, blessings, and connections to a civilization's soul. They resonate with the heartbeat of India and offer the recipient a piece of its timeless spirit.
(Please note: This is not a real coin but a replica.)

I absolutely loved buying this product. It is so shiny and has an excellent finish and it has a very good weight as well.
The packing is so elegant and classy.
Builds up the expectation of the product inside.
And the inside lives up to the expectations!
Loved the look, feel and finish of the paper weight.
Royal is what it is.
Nice shine and colour with enough heft to be used as a paperweight. The bottom has a coating of felt, which is a nice touch.
Pros : Great build quality
Cons : Slightly expensive

My association with Mr Anand Prakash goes back to 6-7 years. He has curated several unique gift sets for various events that I used to manage at the media company where I worked. I have always found the perfect gift at his store. The quality of his products is beyond superb. There's a certain commitment to aesthetics, elegance, perfection, refinement, beauty and endurance in each of his products that cannot go unnoticed. I was deeply touched when he agreed to help me curate a gift set for my Army friend who was celebrating his landmark birthday before moving on to his next assignment. I wanted the gifts to resonate with the patriotism that a soldier obviously feels. Along with an Indigo hardbound journal, an India map lapel pin, a NATO phonetic alphabet bookmark, I also bought this gorgeous 10 paise paper weight. Designed to perfection and with no detail omitted, this is a collector's item. The item that I was most thrilled with was the cufflinks Mr Prakash agreed to make especially for the occasion! We used the Devanagiri script to create a pair with my friend's name and initials! Mr Prakash also took the trouble of sending me a set of cards to choose from so that I could write a birthday note for my friend. He then took the responsibility of packing the whole set and dispatched it so that the gift reached my friend on his birthday! Needless to say, the gift set was a huge hit with him. I have no words to thank Mr Prakash. This is next level service :)
Anand Prakash products are 100% the best in quality, finishing & on time delivery excellent job Team Anand Prakash Trust me loved your product & Products

A fitting tribute to a now humble, but precious back then, 10 paise coin. This coin carries more memories than a 2000 rupee note ever will. I mostly spent 10 paise coins to buy candies or toffees in my childhood during the 80's, and those precious memories came rushing when I opened the package and held it in my hands. I have shown it with the real coin by its side, its the same year...how cool huh !!
My heartiest gratitude to the entire team that came up with the concept and brought it to life. This will be on my desk forever even though I have gone largely paperless now :) I will gladly recommend others to get one for themselves.
Cool product….very nice for gifting and a must have for some who lives Hyderabad and who has a nice desk with papers on it and so on. Looks very attractive too :)
Am so overjoyed that this is made for history lovers like myself.
I actually have a 1917 coin of King George and have made in a bracket so it acts like a pendant on a long silver chain. It’s incredible. Even the coins 🪙 were artistic, nowadays it’s all so ugly looking. Old is Art!
Beautifully crafted brass items with excellent attention to detail. They arrived on time and make lovely, meaningful gifts. The staff was very responsive to my questions and order delivery date. I am a frequent customer as it is a wonderful way to share a touch of Indian culture and artistry with others. Highly recommended!
The goods have a very nice finish, and delivery was done without any damage. I need 100 gifts for Deepawali. It is a good option if I get them at the Ava price
I feel the packing could have been nicer and as most of your stuff is gift items. It should not have shown the king and queen printed on the box as then there is no excitement to open the gift as you mostly the already know what’s in there. Also instead of wrapping them inside it should have been presented better. Just a feedback coz I love your brand!
