The complete Amer range of office accessories, journals, jewellery, stationery, bookmarks and home decor.
Jaipur is one place where we keep going back to soak in some inspiration. On one of those trips we took a guided tour of the Amer fort; we were mesmerised by its beauty and enthralled by its history. While moving around the historic fort, we took high-resolution images of the fort, its patterns and motifs. Our team then painstakingly converted them into a range of products that will leave you spell-bound with its intricacy and brilliance.
This range takes its inspiration from the motifs and patterns found on the walls of the fort. The outer packaging of the range has been specially designed and coated to mimic the rough texture that is found on the walls of the Amer fort. All products come with a hand printed booklet that speaks about the inspiration and history.
Amer Fort or Amber Fort is located in Amer, a town located eleven kilometres from Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan. The town of Amer was originally built by Meenas and was later ruled by Raja Maan Singh I. The Amer Fort was built by Raja Maan Singh I in the 16th century and was the residence of the Rajput Maharajas and their families.
Constructed of red sandstone and marble, the attractive, opulent palace is laid out on four levels, each with a courtyard. It consists of the Diwan-i-Aam, or ‘Hall of Public Audience’, the Diwan-i-Khas, or ‘Hall of Private Audience’, the Sheesh Mahal (mirror palace), or Jai Mandir, and the Sukh Niwas. It is known for its artistic Hindu style elements, with its large ramparts and series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks Maota Lake which is the main source of water for the Amer Palace.
